Sound Bath

Sound Bath for Wellbeing at Work

A deeply immersive experience for rest, restoration and collective reset

In the middle of a busy working day, week or team event, a Sound Bath offers something increasingly rare: genuine stillness. Guided by an experienced practitioner using resonant instruments — gongs, singing bowls, chimes and more — participants are invited to lie back, let go and allow the sound to do the work.

No experience is needed. No effort is required. Just space to breathe, rest and reset.

What Is a Sound Bath?

A Sound Bath is a full-body listening experience. Participants lie comfortably while a practitioner plays a carefully chosen sequence of instruments, creating a layered, meditative soundscape that washes over the room.

The frequencies and vibrations produced by instruments such as Tibetan singing bowls, crystal bowls, gongs and chimes interact with the nervous system in ways that encourage a shift from active, alert states into deeper rest. Many participants describe the experience as profoundly calming — others report a feeling of lightness, clarity or emotional release.

Unlike many wellbeing interventions, a Sound Bath requires nothing from participants except presence. It is accessible to everyone, regardless of physical ability, prior experience of mindfulness, or familiarity with wellbeing practice.

The Science of Sound

Sound Bath practice is rooted in the well-established relationship between sound, vibration and the nervous system. The research behind it draws on psychoacoustics, neuroscience and the science of stress regulation.

When we are exposed to slow, sustained, harmonically rich sound, the brain naturally shifts into lower-frequency states associated with deep relaxation — including alpha and theta brainwaves. These are the same states reached during meditation and the early stages of sleep. In this state, the stress response quiets, cortisol levels fall and the body’s natural restorative processes are activated.

Regular exposure to this kind of deep rest has been associated with:

  • Reduced stress, anxiety and mental fatigue
  • Improved sleep quality and recovery
  • Lower blood pressure and reduced physical tension
  • Greater emotional regulation and a sense of calm
  • Enhanced focus and mental clarity following the session

For organisations, this translates into employees who are better rested, more emotionally regulated and more able to engage meaningfully with their work and each other.

Why Bring a Sound Bath to Your Workplace?

A Sound Bath sits at the intersection of wellbeing science and lived experience. It is memorable, accessible and deeply effective — and it offers something that most wellbeing sessions don’t: a genuine break from doing.

For Individuals

  • Deep physical and mental relaxation
  • Relief from chronic stress and tension
  • A reset for the nervous system
  • Improved mood, focus and emotional balance
  • A felt sense of calm that often extends well beyond the session

For Teams

  • A shared experience that builds connection and psychological safety
  • A powerful counterpoint to high-pressure periods or intensive away days
  • A tangible demonstration that the organisation values rest, not just performance
  • A memorable, positive touchpoint in team culture

What to Expect

Sessions are led by an experienced Sound Bath practitioner and are suitable for all abilities and backgrounds. No prior experience of meditation, yoga or any wellness practice is required.

Participants are invited to lie on yoga mats or remain seated, whichever is most comfortable. The practitioner begins with a short grounding introduction before moving into the sound journey itself — a flowing, uninterrupted experience of layered sound and vibration. Sessions close with a gentle return to full awareness and a brief period of quiet reflection.

The result is a room of people who arrive carrying the weight of the day and leave feeling noticeably lighter.

What’s Included

Your Sound Bath practitioner arrives fully equipped. All instruments are carefully selected for their acoustic quality and therapeutic resonance.

More Than a Break

A Sound Bath is not a passive add-on to a team day. It is an intentional act of care — a message to your people that their rest matters as much as their output.

In a world that rarely asks people to stop, this is an experience they will remember.

TESTIMONIAL FROM JAZZ PHARMA:

We asked Glo to provide yoga and sound bath sessions for our conference. We had a number of sessions, including an early morning session for each. My colleagues really enjoyed having the wellbeing element as part of our conference session and felt relaxed and calm heading into a day of interactive sessions. Adelya (yoga) & Lilita (sound bath) were professional, on time and very passionate about their sessions and clients wellbeing. I’d highly recommend Glo Pamper for corporate events.
